Ria Battisti brings more than 12 years of experience in financial services, with a career that began outside the industry. After graduating from Winona State University with a degree in psychology, she worked in the mental health field before moving into finance, where she found a way to continue doing what she loves most—helping people.
Over the years, Ria has held several roles across the industry, gaining a wide range of experience that shaped her client-first approach. Most recently, she was a Partner at New York Life, where she rose through the ranks and developed a strong reputation for both client service and leadership. Alongside offering financial services, she is dedicated to mentoring young professionals as they start their own careers in finance.
Ria works with a wide range of clients, including retirees, young families, women in transition, and small business owners. She emphasizes the importance of long-term strategies over short-term reactions, and believes diversification is essential to managing risk and creating peace of mind. To support her clients, she draws on her SEI designation along with her Series 6 and 63 licenses.
Known for her compassion and outgoing personality, Ria embraces life outside of work just as fully. A self-described tomboy, she enjoys golfing, bowling with her league, and cheering on her son, Carter, at his games with her husband, Steve. Originally from Palatine, IL, she now lives in Pingree Grove with her husband, son, and their two dogs, Tilly and Remy. She also loves live music and never passes up the chance to see a great show.
Deeply involved in her community, you can always find Ria hosting and attending local events. She serves as President of Greater Kane County Connections AM Spirit GRO and as a community leader for the Village of Pingree Grove. Her personal motto, “You need to give to be able to receive,” reflects both her approach to client relationships and her dedication to giving back.
