Nick spent the first 20 years of his career as an institutional trader on Wall Street. Although he enjoyed working in the public sector, he’s really excited to put his financial expertise and experience to work helping individuals and families achieve their personal financial goals.
Nick grew up in Elgin, attended Hampshire High School, and graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha with a double BA degree in Economics and Business Administration. He was an active member of the college community, participating in Delta Upsilon fraternity, and performing in the choir, theater, and with the Ispep Blue Crew. After graduation, he worked at a mutual fund as an equity and options trader in Wisconsin, before moving to New York, where he focused on hedge funds.
After their second son was born, Nick and his wife, Teika, decided they wanted to raise their family in Illinois, where they both grew up and could be closer to their families. The Terrys now make their home in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. Teika works in Human Resources for Meta.
In his spare time, Nick likes to stay active, which includes working out and playing with his kids. He also likes to read, play sports-related video games, and is learning how to play piano.
