Matthew McCormick AAMS®, CRPC®, MBA

Matthew McCormick is a Financial Advisor with Weyers McKeever Financial Partners. He has extensive knowledge and experience in financial services. Prior to joining our team, Matthew was a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones for six years. Matthew prioritizes providing clients with quality service, timely information, and full transparency.

Matthew is the oldest of eleven children. His father owns a landscaping and nursery business in rural Illinois, where Matthew began working at a young age. At age 10, Matthew was still working for his dad when his entrepreneurial spirit began to evolve. In high school, Matthew discovered his interest in investing. He was specifically fascinated by stocks, real estate, and farmland.

Matthew obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Degree at Southern Illinois University in 2000, and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree at Ashford University in 2008. In 2011, he worked for Honeywell as a Mechanical Engineer. Although he enjoyed his work, he felt his true passion was to further serve people and provide opportunities by educating clients and providing financial advice to better prepare clients for the years to come. This led him to his financial advising career which began in 2016. He has since obtained his Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designations. He’s currently working toward becoming a certified financial planner™, CFP®.

Aside from work, Matthew and his family provided foster care for multiple children over the course of a few years. They continue to actively participate in local non-profit organizations to provide foster care support to families. They have organized groups to pack meals at Feed My Starving Children, sponsored foster children through the holidays, and Matthew has volunteered at the local food pantry. Matthew and his wife, Jessica, have been married for over twenty years. They have two children, Zachary and Addison. Matthew regularly works out and participates in fitness competitions. He also enjoys running half and full marathons, most recently in Washington, DC, Nashville, TN, and Madison, WI.
