John earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of St. Francis, where he studied Political Science and Psychology. During his time there, he was a member of the 1993 College of St. Francis Baseball National Championship team, an experience that helped shape the leadership, discipline, and competitive spirit he brings to his work today.
John began his career in 1996 with Prime International Trading in Chicago, where he worked on the exchange floor before advancing into electronic markets. In 1999, he was selected to help launch the firm's computer-based markets team in London, where he specialized in NYSE and NASDAQ mergers and acquisitions before returning to Chicago.
After nearly a decade in the markets industry, John transitioned into financial services, spending 17 years with Bankers Life helping individuals and families protect what they had worked so hard to build. He later joined American Senior Benefits, where he continued helping clients with insurance and retirement strategies. In 2026, John made the decision to broaden his approach by focusing on wealth preservation and estate strategies.
That search ultimately led him to Lakeshore Financial Group. He was drawn to the firm's collaborative culture, commitment to mentorship, and focus on helping advisors continue to grow both personally and professionally. Today, John enjoys working alongside a team that shares his passion for serving clients and building lasting relationships.
One philosophy has guided John throughout his career: "It's more about what they want to do than what they have." By taking the time to understand each person's priorities and goals, John strives to provide thoughtful guidance tailored to what matters most to them. He describes himself as a leader with a competitive spirit, qualities that continue to shape the way he serves clients and approaches each new opportunity.
Outside of the office, John enjoys giving back through organizations including Spectrios Institute for Low Vision and UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago. He also spends much of his free time coaching his daughters' sports teams, where his love of teamwork and leadership continues off the field.
John lives in Carpentersville, Illinois, with his wife, Angela, and their five daughters. Above all, he values the time he spends with his family and considers being a husband and father his greatest role.
