John's original goal was to become an attorney and help others, but after an internship with Calamos Investments, he realized that he could make an important difference in people's lives through financial services.
After spending his early childhood in New Jersey, John's family moved back to Illinois when he was six years old. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, John earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science. While there, he joined Sigma Chi fraternity and served as their Philanthropy Chair. John credits his parents for being role models in his wanting to help others. His mom, especially, was a big influence on him, through her work providing therapy to Medicaid patients, training therapists in the prison system, and even hosting conferences for therapists working in Ukraine.
John plans to focus on younger professionals like himself, just starting out in their careers.
In his spare time, he enjoys dinners out with family and friends, watching professional sports, and catching a Cubs game live whenever he can.
